Turn your passion into action and you just might save a life…or 400 lives. That’s what happened on June 17th when my generous band mates gave up their birthday presents and accepted donations. We used our love of music to put together a back yard concert with a water theme to raise enough to build another well in Africa. We set up water-themed activities, like swimming, a dunk tank and a dirty-water dare where we dared each other to drink murky water from our local swamp like the kids in Africa do each day. The water was purified, but still totally nasty! Our band performed for the party guests, but the highlight was an appearance by The Good Mad, who donated their time to perform for our cause.
